Public Agents are an extension of Network Performance Monitoring Agents, which are the network monitoring tools in the Network Performance Monitoring solution offered by Obkio. The Public Agents are hosted and maintained by Obkio but operated by third parties.
Obkio Public Agents can be deployed in seconds, and allow users to monitor network performance between their standard agents (which are located in a company’s headquarters, remote offices, home offices, data centers, etc.) and Public Agents located within a third party infrastructure. Obkio Public Agents allow users to monitor network performance metrics such as latency, jitter, packet loss and throughput from their service or cloud provider infrastructure.
Among the current Public Agents offered by Obkio, there are some of the largest cloud providers around the world, including Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud. Projet Cirrus is part of that list.
